For the procurement lead, not the browsing intern

You're consolidating a 47-tool stack and the next vendor you pick has to hold up to a CFO's questions.

If you're running ops or growth at a 50–500-person company, you already know the failure mode of every other review site: anonymous star ratings, paid placement dressed up as editorial coverage, and procurement cycles that drag to eleven weeks while three vendors send you login credentials you'll never use. The data is bad, the incentive structure is worse, and the time cost is the part no one bills you for.

ProductSifter is built around two structural mechanics. Every reviewer is LinkedIn-authenticated and tied to a paying employer — eliminating the 38% anonymous-review rate you see on Capterra. And our Stack-Fit Score cross-references your existing tech stack against 4,200+ integrations to surface tools that actually deploy in under 14 days. No star ratings. No review-gating. No paid placement. Just procurement-grade evidence behind every pick — exportable, audit-trailed, and ready for the next QBR.

Teams that completed a Sifter-led evaluation in 2024 cut their average procurement cycle from 11 weeks to 4. The math isn't subtle.

Methodology, v3.2

How the rankings actually work.

Four structural mechanics, no marketing adjectives. Each is operational, audit-trailed, and documented in our public Methodology page.

  1. 01

    LinkedIn-authenticated reviewers.

Every reviewer account is verified against a LinkedIn profile tied to a paying employer. We don't publish anonymous ratings; the 38% anonymous-review rate you see on Capterra doesn't exist on our platform by construction. Reviewer counts are real people, and they show up in the count.

  2. 02

    Stack-Fit Score™, not star averages.

Our algorithm cross-references your existing tech stack against 4,200+ integrations and weights outcomes against deployment-time evidence. Tools that ship in under 14 days with native connectors score materially higher than tools with a 90-day implementation roadmap and a partner network.

  3. 03

    No-pay-to-play, codified in a Charter.

Vendors cannot buy ranking position, review eligibility, or category placement. The policy is documented in a publicly published Transparency Charter updated quarterly. Vendors pay only on qualified lead delivery — removing the incentive to inflate rankings entirely.

  4. 04

    API-first, audit-trailed data.

Every comparison, score, and review is exportable through a procurement-grade API. Audit trails are immutable. Procurement and IT teams at 47 Fortune 500 companies — including deployments at Snowflake, HubSpot, and Notion — pull this data directly into their evaluation pipelines.

What teams report after a Sifter-led evaluation

11 → 4 weeks, average procurement cycle Across 2,100+ teams that completed a Sifter-led evaluation in 2024.
40% less time to shortlist Versus the median G2 / Capterra comparison workflow, measured across 1.9M sessions in 2024.
6m 12s time-on-page, comparison views Vs. the 1m 48s industry benchmark for review sites.
71 vendor-side NPS Meaningfully higher than the 42 industry average for SaaS marketplaces.

A note for vendors

Free for buyers. Paid placement is structurally impossible here.

If you sell SaaS to mid-market teams, you already know the rigged incentive of most review platforms: pay to be ranked, pay to be featured, pay to keep negative reviews buried. ProductSifter runs the opposite model. Buyers browse and compare for free, with no email gate. Vendors pay only on qualified lead delivery — that is, when a verified buyer completes a comparison request tied to your product. The structural incentive removes ranking inflation by design.

The full policy — including how rankings are computed, how reviewer verification is enforced, and how lead delivery is logged — is published in our Transparency Charter, updated quarterly. Vendor NPS sits at 71 against a 42 industry average, which we suspect is downstream of a system vendors don't have to fight.
