Methodology note

What the Stack-Fit Score actually measures.

Every product in our index carries a Stack-Fit Score from 0–100. It is not a popularity rank, and it is not an editorial pick. It is the output of a single algorithm that cross-references three verifiable inputs against your existing tech stack.

  1. 01

    Integration density

We index the vendor's documented integrations against the 4,200+ tools already in your stack. A native, two-way sync with your data warehouse scores higher than a Zapier-mediated webhook.

  2. 02

    Verified deployment time

Reviewers who self-report as paying customers log actual days-to-first-value. We discard responses from anonymous reviewers and vendor employees — eliminating the 38% anonymous-review rate seen on Capterra.

  3. 03

    Outcome correlation

We weight reviewer scores by whether the reviewer reported a measurable business outcome — pipeline influenced, support volume deflected, audit cycle shortened — rather than a vague "love it" rating.

The average procurement cycle for the 2,100+ teams that completed a Sifter-led evaluation in 2024 dropped from 11 weeks to 4 weeks. The score is the input; the time you get back is the output.

Buyer objections, answered in plain prose

What procurement teams ask before they switch off G2 or Capterra.

How do you prevent vendors from gaming the rankings?

Vendors cannot pay to inflate their score. They pay only when a qualified lead converts — defined in our Transparency Charter, updated quarterly. Our vendor-side NPS of 71 (vs. the 42 industry average for SaaS marketplaces) suggests the incentive structure is working.

What does "verified reviewer" actually mean?

Every reviewer is LinkedIn-authenticated and tied to a paying employer at a domain we can resolve. We discard submissions from personal accounts, vendor employees, and reviewers who cannot verify their employer's status. This eliminates the 38% anonymous-review rate seen on Capterra.

How fresh is the data?

Scores recalculate as new verified reviews clear moderation — typically within 48 hours of submission. The catalog itself is audited weekly against the vendor's own documentation and integration directory.

Can we export this for our procurement compliance trail?

Yes. Every comparison, score, and review is exportable via our API or as a signed PDF, with full audit trail. The data layer is built for procurement teams who need to defend a vendor choice to a CFO or audit committee — not for marketing screenshots.
